The Lincolnville Community Library in Lincolnville, Maine is the heart of the community,
connecting neighbors, providing resources and fostering lifelong learning.

History
The new Lincolnville Community Library opened on February 1, 2014, in a renovated one-room schoolhouse built originally in 1849. The opening date was just fifteen months after nearly 200 people gathered to grab a long rope and help pull the shell of the old building, owned by the Lincolnville Historical Society, across Main Street to a formerly vacant lot.

Jackie Young Watts Open-air Museum
The Lincolnville Historical Society’s open-air museum was built in the summer of 2013 to display historical items such as fishing boats, ice cutting tools, lime industry artifacts, and large agricultural implements that depict the life of Lincolnville residents in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is open for viewing in the spring, summer and fall.

Getting to Know Lincolnville Hills Project
Wednesday, September 24 at 6:00
Lincolnville Hills Project was created to reestablish and maintain historic sites located within the Camden Hills State Park on the Lincolnville Side. These include Cameron Knob, Cameron Field, Poverty Knoll, and Millerite Fields. These sites of historical relevance to the Lincolnville community were once used for agriculture before the land was incorporated into the state park system. Due to the lack of maintenance, access has become impeded, and the spectacular views and other significant values enjoyed by hikers and picnickers are close to being lost as the fields get overgrown. Come learn about the project and the history of the area and families who owned these lands.
